At home he runs an organic farm with a cheese dairy and has access to a broad network. For years, he has accompanied and supported the farm in Kirpal Sagar in the introduction of organic farming methods and in soil development through composting.
The lecture on organic cultivation of medicinal plants, vegetables and spices by a proven expert from Germany visibly stimulated the audience and in the course of the event encouraged an intensive exchange, a real enrichment for the event. In addition to many valuable, easy-to-understand tips on the basics, the focus was on practical steps such as soil cultivation, water-saving cultivation methods, crop rotation.Kirpal Sagars Agriculture includes dairy farming, horticulture and, to a lesser extent, forestry activities in addition to arable farming. In his opening speech, Chairman Karamjit Singh Virk, himself active in various agricultural aspects, addressed the underlying concept of the development of a sustainable way of doing business. The main purpose of the fair was to provide a forum for exchange, practical, focused on farmers in the region, an exchange forum for knowledge and experience. At the stands one could get more detailed information and inspect the products. A horticultural company was represented with organic vegetable seedlings and trees.
